2010 TVS Wego 110 cc

Wego is a bit strange name for a normal scooter. TVS finally released a full-size 100 + cc scooter variomatic after years of showing the potential to be really good with the Scooty Pep. I was in Chennai to attend the launch and get a short ride on the bike and go to impress.

The styling speaks to customers and seems to be demand from customers, the metal-bodied, not too aggressive and not too passive in style. TVS has been paying attention to the practical needs and you get big enough underseat storage, front storage standards established and a fuel filler cap outside and behind the seats so you can fill in without falling. The only obstacle - and it is small - is that the fuel filler cap and release the seat with the ignition key. But instead of all-in-one design type as the Flyte, the TVS has a machine / handlebar locks, separate front cubby and a third lock on the left side panel off the chair and the filler cap. TVS has evolved Wego provides a Scooty Pep style headlamp, position lamp on the front apron and tail LED lights on the back to stay strong in the mainstream of current full-size scooter rough.

Below is a metal of all new chassis with telescopic front forks and rear suspension is a gas-filled. Machine is a top-end of the 109.7cc Jive (or you could say the powertrain that Jive Wego get top-end) mated to a variomatic transmission - such as Pep, but much more fat. The 8bhp, motor 8Nm feel fresh enough to go up and 105kg (dry) Wego feels like a fun, energetic ride a scooter. What is impressive is the quality of a head trip to the south, gently, just above the worst kind of way. The rest is handled very well. I also liked the light feel the bike and the handling of traffic Wego should prove fun.

Stay tuned for a comparison test of Wego TVS in January 2010 issue of overdrive when the Rs 42,600 (ex-Chennai) scooter go head to head with the competition.
